Customer Responsibility ("Security IN the Cloud"):

• A. Managing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) - This is the customer's responsibility to manage their own IAM users, groups, roles, and policies

The Shared Responsibility Model divides security responsibilities where AWS is responsible for the security OF the cloud (infrastructure, hardware, software, facilities), while customers are responsible for security IN the cloud (their data, applications, identity and access management, operating systems, network configuration).
