Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed service that offers a choice of high-performing foundation models (FMs) from leading AI companies through a single API. Claude, developed by Anthropic, is based on the Transformer architecture, which is the foundational neural network architecture for many modern large language models.

• Claude (Anthropic): Uses Transformer architecture and is specifically designed for conversational AI and text generation tasks

• DALL·E: An image generation model from OpenAI, not based on standard Transformer architecture

• Stable Diffusion: A diffusion model for image generation, not Transformer-based

• Whisper: An automatic speech recognition system from OpenAI, uses a different architecture optimized for audio processing

The Transformer architecture, introduced in the "Attention Is All You Need" paper, uses self-attention mechanisms and has become the standard for natural language processing tasks.
