Delta Sharing is an open standard that allows data sharing across different platforms. The recipient does not need a Databricks workspace. Instead, the provider can generate a secure credential file (.share file), which the recipient can use with open-source Delta Sharing connectors in their preferred tool (like Pandas, Spark, or Power BI) to securely query the shared data.
